About MGI and Agri-genome

MGI is committed to building core tools and technology to drive improvement in Agri-genome through innovative solutions. MGI manufactures high- and medium-throughput sequencers for supporting Agricultural research with a variety of sequencing read lengths from SE50 to SE400/PE300, enabling flexible sequencing modes. To support this, MGI also develops a range of DNA, RNA, RAD reagent kits and bioinformatics solutions to enable innovative and world-class genetic sequencing research and molecular breeding applications in agriculture.  Find out more here: Agri-genome

MGI's DNA sequencing instruments utilize the state-of-the-art core technology called DNBSEQTM. Compared to other existing sequencing platforms, DNBSEQTM sequencing technology combines the advantages from low amplification error rates from DNBs and high density patterned arrays. These advantages dramatically improve sequencing accuracy, and have much lower duplication rates in WGS/WES applications. When combined with the PCR-free library construction method, DNBSEQTM also has higher SNP and indel detection accuracy compared to other platforms. In addition, the index hopping rate in DNBSEQTM platforms is much lower as compared to that of other platforms. With additional opportunities to improve human health and the challenge of feeding the world’s growing population, demand for genomic information has skyrocketed. To meet the need, Gencove combines low-pass whole genome sequencing with a proprietary software-as-a-service computation layer. The result is hardware-agnostic, high-volume, and cost-effective sequencing software for human, animal, plant, and microbial applications. The Gencove platform is scalable, secure and flexible allowing your team to focus on breakthrough discovery instead of the mechanics of large-scale data analysis. Find out more here: Gencove
