本年最後のメールマガジンとなります。今年は世界で海でも陸でも脱炭素社会への流れが急加速していくのを感じた1年間となりました。来年以降もこの流れに置いて行かれぬよう技術開発に努めて行きたいと思います。
今号では、毎年開催している弊社の船舶3Dシステム“MATES”のユーザー交流会の模様や下関造船所での進水式のニュースをお伝えします。弊社では海の脱炭素化だけではなく幅広く海を舞台として確かな技術力で取り組んで参ります。

■第19回MATES技術交流会を開催しました
去る12月08日、今回で19回目となるMATES技術交流会を開催しました。現下のコロナ禍の影響も鑑み、昨年度同様ウェビナー形式での開催となりましたが、MATESユーザーの造船所様や設計会社様だけでなく、導入をご検討中の方も含め、総勢約170名の方にご参加頂き、おかげさまで盛会のうちに終えることが出来ました。
弊社からはMATESの開発方針及び開発状況を、MHIマリンエンジニアリング株式会社からはMATESを活用した初期3D設計の取り組みを紹介致しました。

This is the last newsletter of this year. This year, we feel accelerating trend toward a decarbonized society, both at sea and on land. We must continue our efforts to develop technologies and striving for contributions to greener world.
In this issue, we will report on the event of 3D engineering system of Ships “MATES”, and the launch ceremony at Shimonoseki Shipyard. We work on not only maritime decarbonization, but also continue to work on a wide range of areas using our solid technological capabilities.

■19th MATES Technology Exchange Meeting on December 08, 2021
We, Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., held the 19th MATES Technology Exchange Meeting on December 8, 2021. Considering the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting was held in the style of webinar same as last year, and around 170 participants, not only existing customers but also potential customers, eventually joined there.
In the meeting, we made presentations on our future development plans and progresses of MATES and MHI Marine Engineering, Ltd. introduced the initial 3D design utilizing MATES.
