This is a 10-session, in-person program designed for elementary school girls. It addresses several ADHD topics including cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioral functioning while also promoting self-confidence and awareness. The girls will learn effective, easy to use skills to manage their challenges and invest in their strengths in all settings of their lives.
This 10-session program will meet on Thursdays from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM starting Thursday, September 23rd. Sessions will take place in our Bethesda Office in the Westmoreland Building at 6430 Rockledge Dr, Suite 500, Bethesda, MD.
Participants will be required to wear masks and will be provided clear masks to allow for more comfortable communication. Sessions are held in a large conference room with a hospital-grade HEPA filter with a UV light. The Chesapeake Center abides by all safety and sanitary precautions regarding COVID-19.
Dr. Thiala Alves specializes in treating ADHD and it's many co-occurring conditions. Dr. Alves has a background in comprehensive testing and assessment and uses this knowledge to help clients understand how brain-behavior relationships influence their thoughts and actions. She sees this as a powerful tool to reframe their view of themselves and others.
Sessions are $125/session, coded as group therapy (90853) if you are submitting to your insurance for potential reimbursement options. We will process payment after each session and send an electronic invoice with everything you need to submit to your insurance.
