Middle & High School Social Skills Groups
These 12-session virtual groups are designed to help children and adolescents stay connected and continue to build a healthy foundation of social skills. This group is specifically designed for those experiencing virtual burnout or social isolation.
Middle School Group:
Mondays from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Starting Monday, February 1, 2021
High School Group:
Tuesdays from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Facilitator: Dr. Robert Greenstone
Dr. Greenstone's approach is engaging, collaborative, and solution-focused. He has led a number of social skills groups for middle and high schoolers to help them learn about themselves, embrace who they are, find (and keep) the right friendships, and feel socially healthy.
High School Girl Connex Group
This 12-session group is designed to help high school girls boost self-confidence, strengthen interpersonal relationships and cope more effectively with daily stressors. This group offers a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental environment to share and learn new skills with valuable peer support.
High School Girls Group:
Wednesdays from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Starting Wednesday, February 24, 2021
Facilitators: Dr. Kathleen Nadeau and Briana Meader, LCSW-C
Dr. Kathleen Nadeau is the founder and clinical director at The Chesapeake Center. In her work with adolescent girls, she helps them to navigate their emotions and feel understood and accepted.
Briana Meader, LCSW-C is a psychotherapist trained in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She teaches skills to help with emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and more.

Group Logistics:

Sessions are $125 for 90 minutes, billed weekly, and coded as group therapy if you are submitting to insurance for out of network reimbursement (90853). To ensure any program is the right fit for your child, the first step is a free screening call with the facilitator.
