NEW   Upcoming Travel Partner Appreciation Campaign
May 3, 2023, is Travel Advisor Day. To amplify Norwegian Cruise Line's message of appreciation for the travel advisor community, please note the following upcoming communication dates and resources.

May 2, 2023, at 11 am ET Partners First Appreciation Campaign Launch Video, which you can download here, for the Partners First Facebook Page and Partners First Facebook Community Group. The video features John Chernesky discussing NCL's commitment to travel partners through enhanced commission, robust support, and reduced rates. It also vaguely mentions the cruise giveaway - the terms and conditions, as well as the submission form required to be completed in order to qualify, will be included in the caption. Please read the submission form to ensure you are prepared for any questions travel partners may have.
   
May 2, 2023, at 11 am ET Partners First Email, which can be referenced here and will mention all of the above and the official steps to qualify for a chance to win one of the ten sailings listed in the terms and conditions. For awareness, the contest will begin at 12 pm noon ET on May 2, 2023, and end (no exceptions) at 12 pm noon ET on May 9, 2023. All the names of the images for the email slices are available in the updated Partners First File Names section below.
   
May 3, 2023, at 1:30 am ET The first official Johncast by Partners First via the main Facebook page, which will appear as a Facebook Live but may also be accessed via Zoom. It will cover updates and insights from John Chernesky, including the steps to qualify for a chance to win a sailing.
   
May 10, 2023, at 11 am ET Segmented Partners First Email to the contest winners with a "Congratulations" message and the next steps required for prize redemption.
   
May 9, 2023, at 12 pm noon ET The Travel Partner Appreciation Giveaway ends as per the terms and conditions.
   
May 10, 2023, at 11 am ET Segmented Partners First Email to the remaining contest entrants with a "Thank you" message for their participation. 
   
May 10, 2023, at 11 am ET Social Media Post on both the main page and the group to announce that the winners have been notified.



NEW  Group Recall List
There is a list of sailings, linked here, where an early group recall is necessary. Please note that the speculative groups will be cleaned up by the end of the day, Friday, May 5, 2023. The deadline for CE, UK, INTL, Affinity, Tour Operators, and Protected Partners is Friday, May 12, 2023.  

NEW  NET Booked Commission Tier Structure Update
As of April 29, 2023, the new NET Booked Commission Tier structure is live inside of Seaware. For awareness, 266 agencies have increased their commission. More information on them can be found here.

NEW  Sail Safe Communication
Today, May 1, 2023, this communication was sent to all guests and travel partners with active BK reservations for cruises sailing from June 1, 2023, through and including June 30, 2023. The communication includes important information directing recipients to our website for updated Health and Safety protocols and travel requirements for the destinations they will be visiting. As a reminder, please continue to reference ncl.com/safe and our travel requirements by country page for the most up-to-date protocols. This information can also be found in the external "Return to Sail" NCL Help article.

NEW  Introducing Best of Istanbul Cruisetour
On April 26, 2023, we announced the introduction of our new Best of Istanbul Cruisetour for 2023 and 2024. It includes a three-day and two-night pre-cruise-only land program departing from Istanbul, Turkey. Learn more in NCL Help's external "Best of Istanbul Cruisetour" article.

NEW  Insurance Coupon Conversion Update 
For awareness, we will be converting all INSUR CRUISE CERTIFICATE coupons from discount coupons to payment options. These coupons are issued to guests who have filed a claim with Aon Affinity and have had their travel protection claim denied. During the conversion process, guests with coupons that fall under the identified class may not have visibility to their coupons between May 3 and May 4, 2023. Beginning May 5, 2023, the identified coupons will be visible again. Once converted, they will only be able to be utilized as a payment coupon.

Important to note: 

  • Coupons currently applied on a reservation will not be converted
  • Payment coupons can be used to pay for a variety of invoice items on the reservation

REMINDER  Reactive Statement: Norwegian Sun's Delayed Departure (Shared April 26)
 

"On April 24, 2023, during a 21-day Panama Canal voyage, Norwegian Sun experienced electrical difficulties while in Cartagena, Colombia, which resulted in some amenities going offline. To ensure the safety and security of our guests and crew, the call to Cartagena was extended for further evaluation and to remedy the situation. As of April 25, our engineers have resolved the issue, and the ship has received clearance to sail by DNV, the world's leading classification society and independent expert in assurance and risk management." - Spokesperson for Norwegian Cruise Line
 

REMINDER  Diaper Package Pricing Increase

REMINDER  Pride of America Dining Availability
On April 24, 2023, guests and travel partners with reservations on Pride of America's April 26, 2023, and May 6, 2023, sailings were notified regarding available dining on board. Access the notification letter here.

REMINDER  Account Engagement Storage Maintenance 
In order to maintain file storage in Salesforce's Account Engagement, regular storage cleanups will begin moving forward. Please review the files you have previously uploaded to Account Engagement and move any out-of-date or unwanted items to the "Items that can be Deleted" folder, located within NCL -> NCL Business Development -> BDM's. Please make sure you are following the steps outlined in the Account Engagement File Guide to assist you in your file management process.

Please note that we are no longer canceling Norwegian Sky's sailings on January 27, 2025, and February 8, 2025. No communications were sent to guests regarding the original cancelation. 

UPDATED  Sailing Changes
In case you missed it, changes have been made to sailings on the ships listed below. Find the notification letters on NCL Help's internal "Itinerary Changes" page regarding the respective ship. You can also access this page via the Itinerary Changes button on Norwegian Central's Learn column. Important to note that Norwegian Gem, Spirit, and Jewel have multiple itinerary changes. Please note that when it comes to cancelations, commissions are protected for reservations that were paid in full, unless noted otherwise.

CruiseNext DoubleUP Offer
Book a balcony or above stateroom on any sailing at least four months in advance and apply TWO CruiseNext, CruiseNext Haven, or CruiseNext Lite deposits to any stateroom on any sailing in 2023 and forward. Guests must book at least four months before sailing. Military Appreciation Promo Code
The following are the benefits of using the MAP10OFF promo code:

  • It will allow us to manage the combinability of the offer. At the current time, the offer will continue to be combinable with all promotions. 
  • Facilitates reporting of the new program.
  • With adding a promo code, there will also be an indication on the invoice (viewable in Seaware) that the reservation has this 10% discount. This will also reflect on the booking confirmation. 

 

 
 

Latitude Extra Point: LATDBLX
The Latitude Extra Double Points LATDBLX has been extended through May 31, 2023. Two additional points per person, per night, will be given on select 2023 cruises. Reduced Deposits

Future Cruise Credits
FCCs have been extended through June 30, 2023. The discount FCCs (the additional % off a future sailing) that were set to expire on December 31, 2022, will expire on that date. The coupons that were extended reflect the new date in the reservation system. Travel partners can download their list of clients with available FCCS here and watch a how-to video here.
