One platform.
Doing more.

Virtual Intercom is one piece of the SmartRent platform, the same platform that runs Access Control, Smart Apartments, Self-Guided Tours, and more across thousands of communities. Every solution is built to work together, so every addition makes your property smarter.

The details that matter.

What's involved in installation?
Almost nothing. Virtual Intercom runs on your existing Alloy Access door, so you skip the dedicated hardware, power, and wiring a traditional intercom demands. You add one QR code sign, and you are ready.
Do I need SmartRent Access Control?
Yes. Virtual Intercom works exclusively with SmartRent's Alloy Access platform and does not integrate with other access control providers at this time. If you already run Alloy Access, add Virtual Intercom to any door whenever you want, with no hardware changes.
How does Virtual Intercom work?
A visitor scans the QR sign, finds who they're visiting in the resident directory, and starts a video call. The resident sees them on video in the SmartRent app and taps once to open the door.
Does anyone need to download an app?
Visitors never do. The directory and video call open right in their browser. Residents use the SmartRent app and receive calls as push notifications, so they catch every visitor without keeping it open.
