40th Annual Tribute Fundraising Gala

<October 28th at 1350 Arapahoe St., Denver, CO 80204>

This year, as we gather in-person for the first time in years on October 28th, 2023, at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, we at Mental Health Colorado are so excited to see you and celebrate with you! We are inviting local heroes, allies, and community partners for happy hour, dinner, and an engaging program with unique performances and contributions by local artists. We will renew our commitment to the mission and pay collective tribute to the people and organizations that, peace by piece, have contributed to Coloradans’ well-being, individually and collectively.

'Navigating Mental Health Challenges in Pitkin County’s Criminal Justice System'

“More than half of the average daily population in Pitkin County’s jail has a serious mental health issue, according to a 2022 report by Justice Planners.

The high incidence of mental health issues among incarcerated populations is no coincidence; the lack of support for people struggling with mental health often results in entanglement with the criminal justice system.

The criminal legal system and mental health are deeply intertwined and can be tied to the rise and fall in the use of mental asylums, according to Mental Health Colorado President and CEO Vincent Atchity.”
