Paper-based invoices, manual routing procedures and multiple disconnected processing centers inflated their cost to process an invoice to 65% higher than the industry average. In fact, up to 80% of their corporate clerk's day was spent tracking down and managing invoice inquiries, and unnecessary payment delays were causing the loss of substantial vendor discounts and benefits.
