Peter Dixon is an experienced indirect tax practitioner, who has practiced in Australia and the UK. He has recently helped a number of professional services firms in Malaysia with implementation projects for their clients.

Over the past 20 years, he has undertaken a wide range of advisory and compliance engagements and has worked on a series of large scale GST audits involving the ATO. 

In that time, Peter worked at KPMG for over a decade, and most recently has spent nearly four years at AMP as an in-house tax advisor.

Last year, Peter negotiated a GST Annual Compliance Arrangement and, as part of that journey, understands that the ATO's expectations - around GST operational governance - has shifted from negative assurance to that higher realm of positive assurance.

Peter is thus a keen advocate of utilising tax technology tools and data analytics to assist clients in this paradigm shift.
