Success Stories

"As a first year principal of a new early college, I knew that I needed leadership support. Working with Dr. Laurie Baker and the staff at RTI was the best decision for me. From the first conversation, they shared how they would support me and my school's growth. They offered professional development for me and my staff that spoke specifically to our needs. I was also fortunate to get Dr. Baker as a mentor. She had walked a similar journey as an early college principal and was able to offer sound advice and expertise. RTI has provided exemplary service for me and my staff, and I look forward to more years of partnership."
-Krystal Lane Cox, Principal, Wilson Academy of Applied Technology

"RTI is an invaluable resource for school innovation. Their level of professionalism, expertise and customer service is unparalleled!  They are leaders in school change and redesign."
-Jim Argent, Principal, Knightdale High School of Collaborative Design

"This year Dr. Hilliard helped me significantly improve my lessons by helping me reflect, brainstorm, and come up with strategies that I hadn't tried before. She helped me increase my use of technology in the classroom and solved several tech issues I was having. She put things in perspective and helped me find ways to streamline my work and be more efficient."
-Anne Skinner, Teacher, Duplin Early College High School

"Working with RTI has been an experience from which the students, staff, and I have truly benefited. The coaches take the time to listen and understand so they are able to provide meaningful and relevant resources and professional development along with leadership support. I am so grateful that we have the opportunity to collaborate with an innovative staff whose passion lies in the development and growth of all students."
-Melissa Glover, Principal, Davidson Early College High School

Innovative Instruction - Winston Salem-Forsyth County Schools

"The thing that impresses me the most about the RTI team is how they intentionally model everything they teach. If we are working on inquiry-based learning strategies, the lesson is presented though an inquiry lens. Secondly, teachers who have participated in the RTI professional learning sessions come away with a toolbox full of resources and ideas for process changes--transformative practices that have been modeled and taught and then practiced by teachers. This is truly job-embedded teaching and learning! Lastly, but certainly not least, is the way in which the professional development is personalized to our needs--our students, our teachers, our district--it's not a one size fits all approach. It's very customized to meet the intended outcomes, which always leads to improved student learning. I mean it sincerely -- BEST PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EVER!!!!" -Kimberly Marion, Program Manager, Magnet Schools & STEM Programs, Winston Salem-Forsyth County Schools
