We are hosting a deep dive training for those of you who are interested in becoming a Lead Ambassador / Ward Captain*!

(And to provide further training on those of you who already signed up as Ward Captains!)

What: Active Trans Training 201: Lead Ambassador / Ward Captain* Training

When: Wednesday, June 5th, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Where: Active  Trans office, 35 East Wacker Drive, Suite 1782, Chicago, IL 60640

Lead Ambassador / Ward Captain* volunteer role description:

• Identify transportation priorities in your community or ward
• Meet with elected officials to promote the Safe Streets Funds
  • Additionally for Chicago residents: Share Bus Friendly Streets Report Cards and promote Chicago River Trail for relevant wards
• Collect signatures for Safe Streets Fund
• Recruit other community members to take action

*We rebranded the volunteer role from Ward Captain to Lead Ambassador to be inclusive of the suburbs.
