Webinar Topic: The How-to of Organizing a Pop-up Event

Date: Wednesday, April 18, noon to 1 pm

Description: Pop-up events are a powerful and popular tool used by communities to visually demonstrate how walking and bicycling facilities can create safer, more engaging, livable streets. These temporary projects, such as building a bike lane out of duct tape or curb bump-out with flowers, can have a big impact on building public and political support of walking and biking projects. Senior Transportation Planner, Heather Schady, who has organized multiple pop-up events in the Chicagoland suburbs, will provide the how-to steps to help you organize such an event in your community. You’ll also hear from suburban advocate Anne Nagle who will share her experience organizing a pop-up protected bike lane in the Village of Wilmette last summer.

Note: If you are unable to attend the live webinar, a recording will be made available to those who register.
