New professional services representative—eastern territory

Welcome Rosanna Arrington!

Rosanna Arrington joined Delta Dental of North Carolina as our professional services representative for the eastern territory in September.

Rosanna has more than 20 years of experience in the dental industry. She worked as the patient relations representative for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry and Operative Residency programs at University of North Carolina’s (UNC) School of Dentistry, as well as in private practice working for two successful dentists who were graduates of the UNC School of Dentistry residency programs.

Rosanna is thrilled to be a part of the Delta Dental of North Carolina team and looks forward to working with our provider community.

“The opportunity that Delta Dental of North Carolina has provided me is amazing,” Rosanna says. “I am able to continue to be involved in the dental community and be a part of a team whose mission is to improve the oral health of the communities we serve in North Carolina. It is truly something I believe in and am grateful to be a part of.

We have you covered, coast to coast

This map identifies which professional services representative covers your office. Locate your county and find the representative in the coordinating color in the key. Effective October 1, 2016, the counties of Rockingham, Guilford and Randolph are now part of the western territory and will be serviced by Emily Bowling.

Quarterly update mailings

To assist us with our quarterly records review, all participating dentists will receive quarterly mailings asking you to confirm dental office information, or to make corrections or additions as needed. If a participating dentist is added or removed from a practice, it is important that you contact us so we may keep our provider records accurate.

Claims for treating dentists

When submitting claims for payment, please remember that all claims must indicate the treating dentist’s information, not the billing or dental entity. As stated in your participating Uniform Requirements, Section 3(A), “the license number of the treating dentist must be included on the claim form.”

Remember, only licensed dentists may submit a claim for an exam. Don’t put your practice at risk—submit complete and accurate claims. This will also assist with timely reimbursement.

Giving back

Guilford Adult Health received a $3,000 grant from the Delta Dental Foundation to help provide the necessary supplies and equipment for a free adult dental clinic that offers diagnostic screenings and treatment to those in need.

The Delta Dental Foundation awarded a $30,000 grant to Carolinas HealthCare Foundation to equip a new maxillofacial prosthodontics clinic at Carolinas Medical Center, a part of Carolinas HealthCare System. The $30,000 grant is the largest the Delta Dental Foundation has awarded to date in North Carolina.

Recredentialing: Why it's important for your office

Delta Dental of North Carolina recredentials our in-network providers every three years as required by the state of North Carolina.

This process provides your patients with the best possible service, and it is vital that we maintain accurate records about our network providers. Our credentialing and recredentialing process serves many purposes:

If it has been three years since you last recredentialed your office, you should have already received your recredentialing packet. Please complete and return the recredentialing application and all supporting documents as soon as you receive it to ensure continued accurate payments for your Delta Dental claims.

For questions concerning the recredentialing documents, please contact us at ncproviderrecordscredentials@deltadentalnc.com or 800-656-6495.

Thank you for assisting us with maintaining accurate records. We appreciate your partnership!
