Performance Analytics applies a unique combination of library collection, analytics and data expertise to optimize quality and alignment of the collection with community needs.

This service includes:
 

Collection Insights: Evaluates print and digital collection circulation, percentages, relative use, turnover, measures performance by collection code and BISAC bookstore categories, and compares the library collection with bookstores and libraries across the U.S. Collection Insights provides detailed insights into specific genre and subject area performance within collection categories.

Gap Analysis: Utilizes the insights gained from analyzing the current collection and the expertise of our national selection team to identify gaps between the current collection and desired collection in order to meet individual library and community needs.   

Performance Improvement Planning: A team of collection experts work collaboratively with the library staff to create benchmarks and objectives to monitor collection performance and develop the operational plan to achieve the desired collection through targeted selection and weeding. 

Performance Monitoring: Provides a Quarterly Performance Report and Collection Performance Call to ensure ongoing tracking against benchmarks and objectives, and quickly identify any adjustments that could and should be made.
