Hello friend of DeakinPrime.

Welcome to our latest edition of The Prime Times.

In early May, DeakinPrime announced an important new partnership with the National Australia Bank (NAB). This market-leading strategy will see us working with NAB to raise the educational levels and professional standards of the bank's financial advisers. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses, plus a variety of innovative study options will provide advisers with opportunities to not only meet the standards set out in the upcoming government legislation—but exceed them.

After more than 25 years delivering best practice professional learning solutions to Australia's top companies and organisations, DeakinPrime has this year developed and launched its own leadership and management program that is built on two themes—adaptive leadership and practical management.

DeakinPrime's Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB51915) is a blended learning approach that uses multiple modes in line with our 70:20:10 philosophy. On completion it also provides learners with entry to and eight points toward their Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Management at Deakin University. This program has already been recognised nationally. In April it was awarded the 2016 Platinum LearnX award for 'Best Learning Module' (Blended). It also won Gold for the 'Best Learning Project' (Certification).

On 23 May, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Beverley Oliver is speaking at a lunchtime function at DeakinPrime on 'Better 21C Credentials'. Professor Oliver will discuss how new models of credentialing will affect students, learning institutions and business needs. This is an important topic as educators and employers begin to acknowledge the relevance of workplace learning and the contribution it makes to the professional development of individuals.

In February this year I took on the role of CEO of DeakinDigital. I remain CEO of DeakinPrime, and this dual role has provided me with a rare and special opportunity to manage two entities that complement each other. I am excited by what we will achieve with the two businesses working closely together.

DeakinDigital is a credentialing solution that offers organisations a powerful new way to recruit, develop and deploy their people. The Professional Practice Credentials provide a framework for employee development that contributes to enhanced competitiveness and organisational performance. I look forward to focusing on the continued growth of both DeakinDigital and DeakinPrime. I encourage you to follow DeakinDigital's LinkedIn profile.

Best regards

Simon Hann
Chief Executive Officer
