zizzl health Webinar Q&A

Can zizzl health be offered to groups outside of New York?

  • Yes, groups interested in zizzl health’s ICHRA can be located anywhere in the United States. Currently, HealthPass provides ICHRA support services to employees who enroll in New York State, while zizzl health provides support to employees outside of New York.
  • The HealthPass Ancillary Exchange is a natural solution for all ICHRA groups, granting employees further choice across its portfolio of non-medical benefits. It is available in all states except for Alaska, Montana and South Dakota.

Can groups offer zizzl health plans along with individual ACA plans?

  • Yes. While most plan options are hosted directly on the zizzl health platform for ease of enrollment and administration, an employee may choose to enroll in a plan not offered on the platform and still use their ICHRA contribution (maintaining the tax benefits of an ICHRA).
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: For an employee’s premium contribution to be able to be made on a pre-tax basis, the plan must be purchased off-exchange. zizzl health and HealthPass are unable to assist with enrollment in plans outside of the zizzl health platform.

What are the implementation fees?

  • There is an implementation/annual (renewal) fee of $550.
  • There are also ongoing monthly fees:
    • Groups are billed at $25 Per Enrolled Employee Per Month (PEEPM) with employees residing in NY charged at $37 PEEPM.
    • Groups are subject to a minimum monthly fee of $630.
  • For additional information, you can find the zizzl health Pricing Guide here.

Can you clarify Broker and General Agent compensation?

  • Broker compensation is built into the monthly fee collected by zizzl health. The amount is determined by the broker and added to the ongoing standard monthly ICHRA administration fees.
    • Compensation can be a flat monthly amount or a per-enrolled-employee-per-month (PEEPM) fee.
  • General Agent (GA) compensation is also included with the standard monthly fees and structured in the same way as broker compensation, if applicable.

How is compensation handled if there is an Agent of Record (AOR) or Broker of Record (BOR) change?

  • If the client desires, they may change their appointed broker of record on 45 days written notice.
    • If this change occurs within the first year of the zizzl service agreement:
      • The new broker will be given access to the account information the 1st of the month following 45 days.
      • The original broker will continue to be compensated through the end of the first year of the service agreement.
    • If this change occurs in subsequent years, the new broker will receive access to information and fees as of the 1st of the month following 45 days.
