It's not all about the format. It's about the brand. And TikTok's got one heck of a brand to chase. Instagram launched Reels but it still feels like Instagram. It lacks the algorithmic precision and hashtag-y fun of TikTok. YouTube Shorts is entering the arena, but much like YouTube's 'Community' tab it's a drastically different behavior for creators and viewers alike. They're going to have to absolutely nail discovery to keep that feature alive, much like they've done with 'live'. But Triller started with brand-building first. They're a little more musical, a little more edgy, and a little more Hollywood than TikTok. And now they've planted their flag with non-exclusive contracts, which creators absolutely love. And a deal with the D'Amelio's is a very, very big deal. I'm keeping my closest eye on Triller. #tiktok #triller #instagram https://lnkd.in/gJwCRwJ

Hehe. I wonder will this be like Ninja and Mixer...
I’ve been on Triller since 2016. Before they had the social aspect and the video library! It’s been cool to watch them progress. Here’s my very first Triller. I couldn’t save it to Triller back then so I had to have somewhere to put what I created and that’s when I started my Instagram account. My very first post on Instagram was a short that I made on May 9, 2016 using Triller! https://www.instagram.com/p/BFLDH4kOsGk/?igshid=ihosk238wmvr
Most creators will happily move around to the highest bidder, eventually some will create their own platforms... then it'll get interesting!
