La SASP Nancy-Lorraine est heureuse d’annoncer à ses supporters, sponsors et partenaires le changement de propriétaire du club désormais détenu par de nouveaux investisseurs. Ces derniers ont connu un succès important en investissant dans l'industrie du football et du sport. Parmi eux figurent Chien Lee, Partners Path Capital, Pacific Media Group, Krishen Sud et Gauthier Ganaye.

Chien Lee est un investisseur de premier plan dans le secteur de l'hôtellerie, du sport et de l'immobilier. Partners Path Capital, dirigé par Randy Frankel et Michael Kalt, a une grande expérience de l'investissement dans le domaine du sport et de l'immobilier. Pacific Media Group, dirigé par Paul Conway et Grace Hung, est un investisseur de premier plan dans l'industrie du sport et du divertissement. Krishen Sud est le fondateur de Sivik Healthcare Funds, un fonds qui investit dans l'industrie des soins de santé au niveau mondial. Gauthier Ganaye est le président exécutif de K.V. Oostende, ancien président de l'OGC Nice et ancien PDG du Barnsley Football Club. Au début de l’année 2020, ce groupe d'investisseurs a déjà pris le contrôle du club de KV Oostende en Belgique.

Chien Lee et Pacific Media Group ont connu un succès important dans le football français et européen et ont contrôlé l'OGC Nice de 2016 à 2019. Au cours de ces saisons, ils ont achevé la construction d'une académie et d'un centre de formation à la pointe de la technologie, d'un coût de 17 millions d'euros, et ont renforcé l'engagement du club envers les jeunes joueurs passionnés. L'amélioration des revenus, des installations et de l'investissement des joueurs sous leur direction a considérablement amélioré les performances de l'OGC Nice sur le terrain et le club s'est qualifié pour la première fois de son histoire pour la Ligue des champions de l'UEFA. En 2017, ils ont mené l'acquisition du Barnsley Football Club et, dès leur première année d’acquisition, ils ont été automatiquement promus au championnat d'Angleterre. En 2019, ils ont réalisé un investissement important dans le club suisse du FC Thun.

Les membres de Partners Path Capital ont une expérience significative dans le sport professionnel. Lorsqu'ils étaient propriétaires du club de Tampa Bay Rays of Major (ligue professionnelle de baseball), ils ont redressé ce qui était l'une des franchises les plus médiocres du sport professionnel, en remaniant complètement l'exploitation commerciale, en améliorant l'expérience des supporters et en construisant un centre d'entraînement de pointe. En seulement trois saisons, le club est passé de la dernière place à sa première participation aux World Series, et depuis lors, il a été constamment reconnu comme l'un des clubs les mieux gérés dans le sport américain, notamment en étant champion de la Ligue américaine 2020 et finaliste des World Series.

Nancy a été une source d'inspiration pour le monde du football pendant plus de 53 ans et les nouveaux investisseurs seront des représentants attentifs du club. Comme pour notre travail collectif au K.V. Oostende, nous nous engagerons à développer davantage son centre de formation et à faire entrer davantage de joueurs dans en équipe première. Le club renforcera également son équipe avec de jeunes joueurs tout en améliorant l'expérience des supporters et des sponsors.

Gauthier Ganaye est nommé Président de l’ASNL avec effet immédiat. « Je suis ravi de travailler à nouveau en France au sein d’un club historique qui a une place toute particulière au sein du football français. C’est avec beaucoup d’humilité que je succède à Jacques Rousselot, véritable figure du football français depuis des décennies et animé de valeurs humaines dans lesquelles je me retrouve. J’ai hâte de rencontrer l’ensemble des composantes du club et que nous puissions ensemble remettre l’ASNL à la place qui est la sienne. »

Merci à Jacques Rousselot pour son implication continue durant ses 27 années de présidence. Grâce à son investissement et à son travail, il a su offrir de grands moments d’émotions aux supporters nancéiens comme lors de la finale de la Coupe de la Ligue en 2006 ou lors de deux belles campagnes européennes.

Our new investors include Chien Lee, Partners Path Capital, Pacific Media Group, Krishen Sud and Gauthier Ganaye.

Chien Lee is a leading investor in the hospitality, sports and real estate industry. Partners Path Capital, led by Randy Frankel and Michael Kalt, has deep experience investing in both sports and real estate. Pacific Media Group, led by Paul Conway and Grace Hung, is a leading investor in the sports and entertainment industry. Krishen Sud is the founder of the Sivik Healthcare Funds, a fund that invests in the healthcare industry globally. Gauthier Ganaye is the Executive President of K.V. Oostende, former President of OGC Nice and former CEO of Barnsley Football Club. Early in 2020, this investor group acquired control of KV Oostende in Belgium.

Chien Lee and Pacific Media Group have had significant success in French and European football and controlled OGC Nice from 2016 to 2019. During those seasons, they completed a state-of the art €17 million academy and training center and furthered the club’s commitment to young, exciting players. The improved revenue, facilities and player investment under their leadership significantly enhanced OGC Nice’s performance on the pitch and the club qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in its history. In 2017, they led the acquisition of Barnsley Football Club and in their first full year of ownership was automatically promoted to the English Championship. In 2019, they made a significant investment in Swiss club FC Thun.

The members of Partners Path Capital have significant experience in professional sports. In their time as owners and operators of the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball, they turned around what had been one of the most moribund franchises in professional sports, completely revamping the commercial operation, improving the fan experience, and constructing a state-of-the-art training facility. In only three seasons, the club went from last place to its first World Series appearance, and since then has consistently been recognized as one of the best-run clubs in American sports including being 2020 American League Champions and World Series finalist.

Nancy has been important part and source of inspiration for the community for over 53 years and the new investors will be careful stewards of the club. Similar to our collective work at K.V. Oostende we will be committed to further developing its academy and graduating more players into the first team. The club will also strengthen its squad with young and exciting players from the region while also improving the experience for supporters and sponsors.

Gauthier Ganaye is appointed President of ASNL with immediate effect. " I am delighted to be working again in France with a historic club which has a special place in French football. It is with great humility that I succeed Jacques Rousselot, a true figure of French football for decades and driven by human values ​​in which I find myself. I look forward to meeting all the components of the club and that together we can put ASNL at the place it really deserves ".

Thanks to Jacques Rousselot for his continued involvement during his 27 years of presidency. Thanks to his investment and his work, he was able to offer great moments of emotion to the Nancy fans, as in the final of the Coupe de la Ligue in 2006 or during two great European campaigns.
