Starting the role this month, Kate succeeds Compton Hellyer who has held the role of Non-Executive Chairman since 2007, two years after the firm was founded. Compton will remain part of the firm’s close group of advisors.

Kate has spent much of her career in sport, having founded her own sports communications agency in 2003. After selling and then stepping back from the agency in late 2016, Kate went on to work with UEFA helping launch their first women’s campaign, “We Play Strong”, then joined M&C Saatchi in 2018 as CMO. More recently she launched a strategic brand consultancy called Platform. Kate was also on the Board of Sport England for six years (2013-19) and was instrumental in the inception and delivery of the long running and award-winning campaign, “This Girl Can”. With a phenomenal reputation across the industry, Onside Law works with some of the biggest names and rights-holders in football, golf, cricket, rugby and motorsport. Its clients include a host of Premier League and top European football clubs, global sports stars, broadcasters, the ECB, FIA, The Ryder Cup and World Rugby to name a few. 2020 saw the firm celebrate its 15th year and continued success and recognition.
