Transportation authority in southern Sweden, Skånetrafiken, has received the last of 30 Coradia Nordic regional trains, which were ordered in 2015.
The arrival of the last unit bolsters its existing fleet to 99 units. These Coradia Nordic trains, developed by Alstom, are known as Pågatågen locally.

The deliveries of the vehicles began in December 2016.
Skånetrafiken business manager Linda Westman said: “We are very pleased with this positive cooperation with Alstom as the vehicle supplier of the new Pågatågen.
“We now have 99 such trains and are thus well equipped to serve new customers and to expand our Pågatågen traffic.”
Each of the 74m-long trains comprises four cars and are capable of running at a maximum speed of 160km/h. They can accommodate up to 510 passengers.

By GlobalDataThe Coradia Nordic trains belong to Alstom’s Coradia range of modular trains. They were built at the company’s facility in Salzgitter, Germany.
The trains were designed focusing on modularity, safety and performance. They are said to be 98% recyclable.
To date, Alstom has delivered more than 2,800 Coradia trains, among which 2,300 units are currently in service.
Alstom Nordics managing director Rob Whyte said: “With this delivery, Alstom has cemented its position as the leading supplier of regional trains in Sweden.
“The Coradia Nordic has proven itself over time to be safe and highly reliable, and with this large fleet, Skånetrafiken is now one of the largest operators in the country serving a growing region.”
