    McMaster Engineering Secures $4.7M for Quantum Research Partnerships McMaster University's Faculty of Engineering has received $4.7 million in funding from the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Alliance Grants program. The grants support three cutting-edge quantum technology projects in collaboration with industry partners: Developing hybrid superconducting-photonic quantum computing platforms with SolidState AI Compact quantum sources for communication networks with OZ Optics and Optiwave Systems On-chip entangled photon generation and detection for quantum computing/telecommunications with Xanadu The partnerships combine McMaster's quantum expertise with commercial capabilities to enhance Canada's competitiveness, create new products, and drive quantum computing innovations. "These grants bolster our quantum research and will attract top talent," said Dr. John Preston, Associate Dean of Research.
